Synopsis

Neri, une mystérieuse jeune fille de la mer, vit solitaire sur une île déserte. Elle est découverte par une bande d'adolescents qui ont accompagné leurs parents sur une plate-forme de recherche océanographique. Neri est vive et débrouillarde, mais aussi un peu mystique. Elle est d'ailleurs dotée d'un pouvoir très particulier : elle peut communiquer par télépathie avec sa compagne de jeux, une baleine de 40 tonnes qu'elle appelle affectueusement Charley. Ses nouveaux amis vont l'aider à protéger l'océan, afin de respecter la promesse faite à son père disparu. Ils devront également l'aider à se défendre contre Ubri, une société scientifique malfaisante voulant la capturer.
