The story is set in a world where artificial insemination has become the norm and sexual intercourse between married couples is taboo. The protagonist, Amane, was born out of her parents' love for each other and wanted a clean married life, so she had relationships with people other than her husband and with two-dimensional characters. However, her life changed completely when she moved to the experimental city of Eden with her husband.
