Tsuki no Koori

Kitamura Ryuji lives with his wife and children in Tokyo. Koharu is a student he meets while giving a photography lecture as a special lecturer at a vocational school in Sapporo. Koharu, an aspiring jazz singer, asks Ryuji to photograph her singing. Ryuji then goes to see her perform live at a jazz club and becomes captivated by her talent. Since then, he has held an annual exhibition of his photographs of Koharu in Sapporo. In the spring following their ninth exhibition, the gallery owner informs Ryuji that the gallery will be closing, and Ryuji and Koharu sense that their annual relationship of photographer and subject will come to an end.
