Shadow Work

This mystery depicts the "ultimate sisterhood" that wives suffering from domestic violence (DV) find in the depths of despair to survive. The protagonist is housewife Noriko, who has lost her sense of self after years of daily domestic violence from her husband, to the point where she believes she is to blame for the violence she endures. She runs away to a hospital where she meets a certain someone, who leads her to live together with other women in the same situation as her in a house in Enoshima. Noriko begins to rediscover her true self and a rich life, but she also encounters the secret rules of the house.
