Synopsis

L’histoire nous entraîne dans les tourments de Guts, un puissant guerrier animé d’une rage irrépressible et destructrice ayant survécu au sacrifice humain du God Hand (groupe de puissants Démons que Griffith a rejoint pour s’élever au dessus des Hommes) qui coûta la vie à ses frères d’armes. Ce premier arc du manga nous dévoile la rencontre entre Guts et son premier compagnon, Puckl’elf. Ils croiseront le chemin du Baron Serpent, un apôtre du God Hand, qui gouverne par la peur et la violence la grande ville de Koka et se nourrit des prisonniers. Mais pour Guts, c’est un premier pas qui le rapproche de sa vengeance pour tuer Griffith…
